The Texas-based streamer began his career with gameplay videos and broadcasts mostly focused on World of Warcraft and its PVP game modes. While he occasionally returns to Azeroth, Asmongold has pivoted his core content toward Just Chatting streams to discuss political and societal topics across Texas and the US. After seeing the defeat of several Republicans across the US, including Texas Governor Greg Abbott , Asmongold made his displeasure known. As seen via clips shared on Twitter and TikTok from the midterm reaction broadcast, Asmongold said that he was mad that the midterms were a sharp rebuke of the Trump administration across the nation. Although he stated that he "voted for Trump to get rid of DEI" in 2024, Asmongold said that the administration failed to keep any promises that were made before.
