In a since-deleted Instagram story, Manni Perez, the actor rumoured to play Lucia in Grand Theft Auto 6, joked about not knowing why she’s getting so many views.
As any Rockstar worker who has had their break-time cigarettes counted knows, one of the downsides to GTA 6 being the biggest game of all time is that there’s no hiding from fans desperate to know everything about it. Perhaps the best example of this is how sure everyone is that Lucia is played by Manni Perez.
Ever since the first trailer for GTA 6 dropped nearly three years ago, fans have considered it all but confirmed that Perez is involved in the game, to the point where she was endlessly harassed on Instagram and deleted her account. Recently, Perez returned to the platform, where she’s now having some fun with the whole situation.
As pointed out by Redditor Pow67 on the GTA6Unmoderated subreddit, Manni Perez posted a rather interesting story on her official Instagram page yesterday. Although the post has since been taken down, it originally had Perez highlighting the 18 million views that she’s received in the last 30 days.
Sony is right - Grand Theft Auto 6 is probably going to play best on PlayStation.
Perez said that she “doesn’t know what that means” with a shrugging emoji, before going on to point out that one of her photos showed her with a “pimple patch and acne on full display”. While it’s nice that Perez’s posts are so real ( unlike the fake account that a lot of people fell for ), she’s clearly having a bit of fun with all the attention.
