Modern Warfare 4 | DMZ has its own unique Prestige system that's not tied to your Player Level like in Multiplayer. Below, we'll share details on how you can reach Prestige via the Dog Tags and Trait Points system, how to unlock each rank of Prestige, and the rewards you can obtain for each one so you know exactly what you're doing.
Your DMZ Level is separate to your Modern Warfare 4 rank. Here's the level cap, how to get DMZ XP, and what you'll earn for each level up.
In order to Prestige in DMZ, you must first earn 18 Trait Points. These Trait Points are tied to your active Operator's Dog Tags and earned through DMZ Player XP, which in itself is separate from your DMZ Player Level progression. You will need to get your Dog Tags from Steel I to Onyx III, and only then will you be able to Prestige.
If your Operator is killed and you fail to recover or repurchase their Dog Tags, then you will have to start the Prestige grind again!
Once you have the Onyx III Dog Tags, you can sacrifice the required gear and DMZ Cash to enter Prestige. Your DMZ Level will not reset, but your 18 Trait Tree Points will.
By hitting Prestige, you will be awarded a Permanent Prestige Trait, randomly selected from the available Trait pool. This Permanent Prestige Trait is always active for your Operator, even if they are killed or dismissed .
