After 8 Years, Gege Akutami Unveils Yuji's True Cursed Techniques

The creator of Jujutsu Kaisen, Gege Akutami, began his story on March 4, 2018, in Shonen Jump Issue 14. In this very chapter, Yuji Itadori was established as the protagonist of the new series, and in the subsequent years, he received great character development from the author.

Come the end of his journey in Jujutsu Kaisen 271, which was officially released on September 30, 2024, in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 44, Yuji Itadori has grown to be quite powerful, but was still an unfinished product. However, in the latest Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo Volume 3 release, Gege Akutami finally unveils the full power of Yuji's cursed techniques. It has now officially been confirmed that Yuji is a true master of both Blood Manipulation and the Shrine, and that his overall cursed techniques stand among the strongest in the entire world.

After the conclusion of Jujutsu Kaisen, Gege Akutami made a brief comeback with his sequel manga set 68 years after the events of the Shinjuku Raid, titled Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo. While this new series had new main characters, those being Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu, it also brought back Yuji Itadori once again, much to the delight of every fan.

“We must find Yuji Itadori. He is the only one who can act as a deterrent against them.” — Japan’s sorcerers, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Volume #1

Yuji Itadori made a comeback in the final volume of Modulo , which was officially published in Japan on May 1, 2026.
