After 5 Years, One Piece Permanently Removes Zoro's Strongest Form

Roronoa Zoro is one of the most powerful combatants of the Straw Hat Pirates, as well as a powerful swordsman who aims to become the world's greatest by dethroning Dracule Mihawk. Zoro has quite a lot of powerful abilities at his disposal. Among them is his strongest transformation, named King of Hell, which was officially revealed to us 5 years ago at the end of One Piece chapter 1033 on November 29, 2021, in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 52.

Now, however, in the most recent release of One Piece on September 27, 2026, that is, chapter 1194, Zoro's King of Hell has been officially shut down forever. In its stead stands an even greater upgrade for the Straw Hat swordsman in the form of mastered Supreme King Haki.

Zoro first tapped into the Color of the Supreme King, also known as Conqueror's Haki, in One Piece chapter 1010, which was released officially on April 12, 2021, in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 19. In this chapter, Zoro coated his blade in Conqueror's Haki and, unbeknownst to him, used it to leave a scar on Kaido's chest. This surprised the Yonko, as he did not expect Zoro to have access to Conqueror's Haki, but in either case, it was not enough to bring down the Yonko.

Zoro: I have no idea what you're talking about! I was hoping to at least bring you down to your knees.

Zoro was then sent to the Performance Floor after losing to Kaido, and then, following his recovery after consuming a Mink drug, he fought against King the Wildfire, one of the three right-hand men of Yonko Kaido.
