A Complete Guide To The We Are The Borg MTG Commander Deck

The first of four Magic: The Gathering Star Trek Commander deck reveals: we finally have the full deck list for We Are The Borg, the assimilation deck that's hell-bent on stealing your opponents' creatures and smacking them in the face with them. It was arguably the most intriguing Commander precon from the set when we first saw it, and based on what we see so far, we think it has some serious potential.

This Esper Commander deck relies on Spacecrafts as well as other general artifacts, and has only 20 total creatures, but again, that's because you're planning to assimilate every creature you can from your opponents' decks.

Here is the full deck list for the We Are The Borg Star Trek Commander deck.

The heavily under-advertised first edition of the TCG Awards was dominated by one game, leaving many players confused.

The face Commander for this deck is The Borg Queen, a seven-mana Esper Commander who enters play as a 4/4 artifact creature and gives all other artifact creatures you control +2/+2.

Whenever The Borg Queen enters, or attacks, a target opponent exiles cards off the top of their deck until they exile a creature card. That card is then placed on the battlefield under your control with a +1/+1 counter on it, but it loses all its types and becomes a Borg creature artifact. Any other exiled cards are placed on the bottom of the opponent's deck in a random order.

The backup Commander for this deck is Locutus of Borg, a four-mana Esper Commander who enters play as a 3/3 with Lifelink.
