I'm not sure PlayStation 5 has ever had a quieter month for new releases than November 2026. Quieter with one absolutely massive exception, that is, which explains the dearth of new releases otherwise. Scroll down to Nov. 19 to see what it is, but you know already.
For this article, it was an effort to find four other games worth highlighting, but they were there when we looked long enough. In fact, we have an acclaimed sequel that's already recognized as one of the best indie games of 2026 making its PS5 debut, as well as another indie with a fascinating, one-off concept. A couple of truly interesting, off-the-wall remasters round out the month. Plus, you know, that other thing.
Zero Parades, ZA/UM's follow-up to the widely acclaimed Disco Elysium is another witty, dark journey into the heart of darkness with some of the most unusual and human role-playing systems you'll ever encounter. This one is a spy thriller about an incompetent spy grasping for redemption after an unforgivable betrayal, more Le Carré than James Bond, and it's a totally absorbing, brilliantly written mystery.
If, for some reason, you're looking for counter-programming this month, there are a few different directions you could go in. Here's the first and perhaps the most compelling: a stripped-down, abstract, mathematical, endless arcade game, from publisher Annapurna Interactive, in which you play a shooting star that creates constellations to stay alive. It looks absolutely mesmeric.
There's a weird new fashion for remastering the licensed kids' games of the 2000s and reclaiming them as influential lost masterpieces.
