Pune AI startup CurvetAI raises Rs 6 crore to build AI agents that can handle complex tasks

Pune-based AI startup CurvetAI has raised Rs 6 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Merak Ventures, with participation from a group of angel investors.

The startup plans to use the funding to strengthen its technology infrastructure, expand its team and develop AI agents capable of handling more complex tasks and workflows on behalf of users.

Founded in December 2025 by Vivek Dubey and Utkarsh Gupta, CurvetAI operates a platform that allows users to access and combine multiple AI models within a single workspace.

Dubey studied design at the Symbiosis Institute of Design in Pune and previously worked at Infosys, Microsoft and Google, while Gupta, the startup's co-founder and CTO, previously worked at Samsung and oversees CurvetAI's engineering and technology infrastructure.

The startup's next phase of development will focus on building agent-based products that can coordinate different AI capabilities and execute more complex tasks with greater autonomy.

The approach is intended to reduce the need for users to manually select and combine different AI models, with the platform taking on more of the work involved in managing these processes.

“As the number of specialised models grows, making AI genuinely useful will depend as much on choosing the right intelligence as on having access to it,” Dubey said.

The startup said it has crossed 100,000 monthly users globally, with India and the United States accounting for its largest markets. It has also begun generating revenue, although it has not disclosed its revenue figures, number of paying customers or valuation following the funding round.
