Global consumer-focused investment firm L Catterton has made a strategic investment in Glance, an AI-powered shopping platform backed by InMobi, for an undisclosed amount.
Glance uses agentic AI to personalise product discovery and shopping across smartphones, connected TVs and other digital platforms. Its technology analyses consumer interests and preferences to recommend relevant products and help users move from discovery to purchase.
The investment follows L Catterton’s assessment of changing consumer behaviour and the growing role of AI in shopping. The firm plans to support Glance’s expansion, particularly in the US, by leveraging its consumer industry expertise, operating capabilities and global network.
Glance is available on millions of devices in the US through partnerships with Samsung, Motorola and DIRECTV. These partnerships extend its presence across mobile phones and televisions.
“Agentic commerce is fundamentally changing how consumers discover and shop for products,” said Scott Dahnke, global CEO of L Catterton, adding that the firm would support Glance’s growth through its consumer expertise and global network.
Founded by Naveen Tewari, Glance is backed by Mithril Capital, Google and Jio Platforms.
L Catterton manages approximately $40 billion in equity capital across private equity, credit and real estate investment platforms. The firm was founded in 1989 and has made more than 300 investments in consumer businesses.
