Zact, a commercial banking technology firm that puts banks first, has launched an expanded version of its platform.
The platform combines commercial cards, expense management, payables, travel and further financial tools within a single unified experience.
The company designed the platform to sit inside the architecture banks already run. This lets lenders stay competitive while holding on to their deposits, income streams, branding and direct relationships with clients.
The system links to the major processors, card networks and payment rails that financial institutions currently depend on. Banks can therefore update their commercial propositions without overhauling legacy systems or abandoning existing partners. Zact has completed integrations with two of the world’s biggest issuer processors serving the banking sector, and work on a third is in progress. It already supports all three leading global card networks.
On top of this infrastructure sits a suite of applications. These cover commercial card and expense management, integrated payables and invoice automation, travel booking and reconciliation, and rebate management. AI-assisted tools handle policy, approvals and workflow automation across the suite. Banks can adopt individual applications or roll out the complete suite.
A third element is the Portfolio Console, a central hub where banks can oversee their commercial programmes. It draws together data from across the platform to give institutions improved oversight, tighter control and insights at portfolio level.
Zact CEO John Thomas said, “Banks shouldn’t have to watch fintechs take more of the commercial customer relationship simply because they offer a better technology experience.
