As the automotive industry becomes more digital, the way vehicles are discovered, purchased and financed is changing.
For customers, the expectation is increasingly straightforward: a smoother journey, clearer choices and financing that works with, rather than against, the buying experience.
For businesses, meeting those expectations requires more than faster technology. It calls for closer coordination across the wider mobility ecosystem.
That was a central theme at AIMCONNECT 2026, held on 11 October at Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa, Singapore.
X Star Technology and Aimotion organised the forum under the theme “Where Mobility Meets the Future”.
The event brought together representatives from more than 100 automotive organisations, including OEMs and dealerships, over 60 financial institutions and more than 20 technology organisations.
The breadth of participation reflected the growing convergence of mobility, finance, and technology.
The programme opened with welcome addresses by Tin Pei Ling, Member of Parliament, and Datuk Tony Khor Chong Boon, President of the Federation of Motor and Credit Companies Associations of Malaysia.
It also featured two keynote presentations, three industry panels and live technology showcases.
Vehicle ownership sits at the intersection of multiple industries, yet the customer’s journey is often managed through separate systems and organisations.
Dealers, carmakers, lenders and technology providers each hold important parts of the process.
The challenge is to connect those parts in ways that improve efficiency without compromising accountability or customer experience.
X and AI Wingman offered examples of technology being applied across dealership operations, financing, marketing, mobility and customer engagement.
