Tribe Payments Names Former Euronet Exec Alex Lim APAC Sales Head

Tribe Payments has named Alex Lim as Head of Sales and Solutions for APAC as the payments processor continues to expand its presence in the region.

Lim joins from Pure Commerce, a Euronet Worldwide company, where he served as General Manager of Merchant Services for APAC.

He will report to Matt Weir, Tribe Payments’ General Manager for APAC, and focus on business development, strategic partnerships and solution design across the region.

Lim brings 13 years of experience in payments, spanning sales, partnerships and product development. At Pure Commerce, he led business development and solution design across APAC.

His appointment comes as Tribe Payments expands its regional operations. The company opened an office in Singapore in 2024 to support existing clients, develop new partnerships and grow its APAC business.

Tribe Payments provides issuer and acquirer processing services to fintechs and banks across card and non-card payment environments using its modular, API-first architecture.

“What drew me to Tribe is its modern, modular technology and its unique positioning as both an issuer and acquirer processor,”

“APAC is a complex and varied region, and the right approach will differ from one country to the next. I’m looking forward to working with Matt and the wider team to drive new business across the region.”
