Tech Mahindra, the India-listed digital transformation and technology consulting firm, has taken ownership of Finastra’s Cash Management product suite, a move that gives the company direct control of intellectual property serving corporate and institutional banks at a time when demand for real-time liquidity tools is rising.
The deal covers three core products: Fusion Cash Management (FCM), Fusion Virtual Accounts (FVA) and Fusion Liquidity Management (FLM). Beyond these, Tech Mahindra has secured IP and capabilities spanning CashPlus, Global CashPlus, APIs, payables, receivables, balance and transaction reporting, liquidity management, cash-flow forecasting and virtual accounts.
The suite will now sit within Tech Mahindra’s Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) solutions portfolio, where the company intends to keep investing in and developing it.
Existing clients are expected to retain access to the platform, alongside continued services and support. Experienced product engineering and customer success staff will also move across to Tech Mahindra as part of the transfer.
The timing reflects shifting priorities among corporate and institutional banks. These lenders are placing greater weight on real-time visibility of cash, optimised liquidity, automation of payables and receivables, compliance, treasury connectivity through APIs and simpler operations.
Owning the suite outright allows Tech Mahindra to respond to these needs across cash, liquidity and transaction banking.
The transaction brings together several assets: product IP, an established client base, specialist product and customer success staff, Tech Mahindra’s Finastra Centre of Excellence and the track record of the existing partnership between the two firms.
Combined, these are intended to protect continuity for clients while laying the groundwork for product-led expansion in transaction banking.
