Sumsub, the verification and anti-fraud platform, has rolled out its automated know-your-business (KYB) technology at Playtomic, the racket sports network linking clubs and players worldwide, shrinking the time it takes to approve partner venues from days to minutes.
Playtomic, which brings together thousands of clubs and millions of players across the globe, needed an onboarding process capable of keeping pace with its fast international expansion.
Using Sumsub’s automated workflow, the company can now check business credentials, registry extracts, VAT certificates and Articles of Association within minutes. A process that previously relied on manual review now runs as a streamlined routine, and it also lays the groundwork for Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) compliance further down the line.
The move comes as marketplace operators face mounting fraud pressure. Sumsub’s Identity Fraud Report 2025-2026 found that sophisticated fraud attempts rose by 180% worldwide over the past year, highlighting why platforms need precise automated checks that protect their networks without holding back commercial activity.
The system is already operating across major European and international markets, and Playtomic’s teams can onboard clubs from within HubSpot CRM. Automated optical character recognition (OCR) extracts data with high accuracy, so venues can be approved quickly and begin earning booking revenue almost straight away.
Operations staff launch and monitor checks through automated links inside HubSpot, requiring no code and causing no disruption to existing processes. Sumsub’s workflows also adjust automatically to the legal rules of each region, smoothing entry into new markets.
Sumsub provides verification infrastructure designed to help businesses confirm the legitimacy of the companies and partners they work with, using automation to replace manual compliance tasks.
