One Mortgage System (OMS), a provider of digital lending technology, has expanded its relationship with specialist second charge lender Step One Finance through the deployment of a custom-built loan origination system.
Step One Finance has moved its mortgage application process onto OMS Originations, with the lender expecting the platform to simplify the application process for brokers and borrowers while supporting its compliance and service requirements.
The deployment follows an earlier API integration between the two companies. The latest development builds on that relationship with a platform configured around the requirements of Step One Finance, its intermediary partners and borrowers. Founded in 2010, Step One Finance provides borrowing solutions for customers with different lending requirements. The lender operates around four core values: responsibility, transparency, fairness and simplicity.
OMS provides digital lending technology to banks, building societies and specialist lenders, covering different stages of the lending process. OMS Originations launched in April 2024 and supports broker-led and direct applications across the origination process. The platform includes configurable workflows that lenders can adapt for different lending requirements.
Its functionality includes instant decisioning, a product engine, tailored underwriting and second- and third-line audit tools. The system supports lending products including semi-commercial, self-build, JBSP, buy-to-let, retirement interest-only, right to buy, holiday lets, expat mortgages, limited company buy-to-let and commercial lending.
One Mortgage System managing director Neal Jannels said, “This integration is another example of how OMS continues to support specialist lenders with flexible, reliable technology that makes a tangible difference to their day-to-day operations.
