Shopee’s Money+ Raises Wallet Limit to RM30,000

Shopee‘s Money+ has increased its maximum holding limit from RM20,000 to RM30,000 at no additional cost to users. ShopeePay said the new limit is among the highest in the Malaysian market.

Launched in January 2026, Money+ allows users to earn daily returns through a Shariah-compliant money market fund, with indicative annualised returns of up to 3%.

According to the company, millions of Malaysians have used the feature since its launch.

The higher limit allows users to invest, shop and make payments using a larger Money+ balance. Funds are not subject to a lock-in period and remain available for spending or withdrawal.

Money+ users can also earn indicative returns of up to 5% p.a. on eligible balances of up to RM10,000 under a promotional campaign running until 30 November 2026.

The campaign, which began on 1 September, requires users to maintain a minimum Money+ balance of RM200.

The promotional rate includes an additional 2% annualised bonus from ShopeePay on top of returns generated by the underlying fund.

The offer covers a larger balance than the launch campaign, which offered returns of up to 6% p.a. on the first RM1,000 between January and April 2026.

Developed in partnership with iFAST Capital, Money+ invests in the Eastspring Investments Islamic E-Duit Fund, managed by Eastspring Investments Berhad.

Money+ balances are classified as investments rather than e-money or bank deposits. Returns are not guaranteed, and funds are not protected by Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (PIDM).

The RM30,000 cap exceeds the RM20,000 holding limit for TNG eWallet’s GO+ feature, which was increased in November 2024.
