RobCo’s new valuation is double the one it achieved nine months ago, according to the release. At that time, the company raised $100 million in a January Series C round and said it aimed to advance its physical artificial intelligence roadmap.
“There was strong demand to invest in RobCo, so we used that moment to strengthen the company,” RobCo Co-Founder and CEO Roman Hölzl said in the release of the latest share sale. “A billion-dollar valuation is an incredible milestone, but we’re much more excited about what comes next: bringing the next generation of autonomous industrial robotics to factory floors.”
RobCo builds end-to-end robotics systems for use in manufacturing and offers them through a robotics-as-a-service model that requires no upfront investment from the customer, the release said.
The robotics’ applications include machine tending, palletizing, material handling, finishing, welding, dispensing, assembly and quality control, according to the company’s website. RobCo provides the hardware, software, autonomy and AI needed for these applications.
