Eventus, a provider of large-scale trade surveillance and financial risk technology, has secured a further long-term renewal with Phillip Capital Inc., the American futures commission merchant (FCM) and broker-dealer, keeping its Validus platform at the centre of the firm’s compliance monitoring.
Under the renewed arrangement, PhillipCapital will keep relying on Validus to monitor trading activity across its entire market footprint. That coverage spans US equities, options and fixed income, alongside futures products traded globally and prediction markets.
The renewal is the latest in a series of extensions between the two companies. It reflects PhillipCapital’s need for a single surveillance system that can handle a wide spread of instruments as the firm expands.
According to PhillipCapital, a clearing broker-dealer and FCM cannot rely on a standardised approach to monitoring, because its oversight requirements differ across business lines. The firm pointed to dependability, adaptability and a close working relationship as the deciding factors in choosing to stay with Eventus.
Eventus builds trade surveillance and financial risk tools designed to operate at scale for market participants. PhillipCapital operates in the US as both an FCM and a broker-dealer, providing clearing services across multiple markets.
Eventus CEO Cameron Routh said, “We’re thrilled that as PhillipCapital has grown and prospered, Validus remains the trade surveillance platform of choice for meeting its diverse compliance needs across asset classes.
