Mastercard and BVNK Unite Fiat and Stablecoins in Global Money Platform

The new Mastercard Global Money Platform brings together Mastercard’s global payments capabilities and BVNK’s stablecoin infrastructure, and it marks the first major integration of these capabilities since Mastercard’s acquisition of BVNK in August, according to the release.

The Global Money Platform is now available through BVNK, per the release.

Banks, FinTechs and enterprises can use the Global Money Platform to embed multi-currency accounts into their own products, under their own brand, and to manage their own treasury, payments and settlement activity directly, according to the release.

The multi-currency accounts include fiat and stablecoins, real-time conversion, stablecoin-linked cards and local bank payouts, per the release.

The Global Money Platform’s services include sending, receiving, converting, storing, spending and earning. In the future, it will also support agentic commerce and other forms of regulated money, including tokenized deposits, the release said.

“Global Money Platform will become the single infrastructure layer not just for stablecoins, but for every form of money,” Chris Harmse , co-founder and chief business officer at BVNK, said in the release.
