People getting paid have changed how they expect to be paid. Gig workers, creators, affiliates, contractors, and marketplace sellers no longer accept waiting days for a bank transfer to clear. They want their earnings the moment they’ve earned them, in the financial app they already use every day. For the platforms paying them, speed has become a retention issue, not a convenience.
MassPay announced a new integration with Cash App, giving its clients the ability to send near real-time payments for a fee directly to recipients’ Cash App accounts through MassPay’s existing single integration.
Cash App is a financial services platform with more than 59 million monthly transacting active users in the United States¹. As income becomes more flexible and fragmented, many earners need payout options beyond traditional ACH. Adding Cash App as a payout destination means platforms can meet recipients exactly where they are, with no new bank account, no new app to download, and no waiting.
“Demand for payouts is the clearest signal we hear from clients across every industry we serve,” said Ran Grushkowsky, CEO of MassPay. “Whether it’s a gaming operator settling winnings, a marketplace paying sellers, or a gig platform paying a driver at the end of a shift, the ask is the same: get the money there now, into the account the recipient actually uses.
