Harmonic Security, a platform that secures how employees use AI at work, has closed a $50m Series B round as enterprises come under pressure to show that staff use of AI tools is both controlled and productive.
Crosspoint Capital Partners led the investment, and existing backers also took part. The deal lifts the company’s total capital raised to $76m, and the new money is earmarked for faster growth.
Harmonic now protects AI activity for millions of employees across more than 100 organisations, some of which rank among the biggest enterprises globally.
The firm has also added Climb and Distology as distribution partners. Its headcount has passed 90 across the US and UK, and it plans to direct fresh funding into engineering and go-to-market teams in both markets.
Over the last year, the company has pushed its coverage past browser-based AI monitoring into desktop AI applications and agentic workflows, bringing all three under one platform. This wider reach targets the points where risks such as personal-account use and leaks of sensitive data typically emerge.
The business claims to be the only platform able to classify each AI task, uncover the purpose behind it and govern it as it happens. Its edge rests on context: customers can sort every task into categories, spot new use cases as they appear and apply controls that add little friction for staff.
This capability runs on custom small language models that assess each interaction within milliseconds, distinguishing, for example, an engineer citing a database schema from a user exposing live login details.
