The tech giant on Monday (Oct. 12) announced a collaboration with Flo Health, a platform used by more than 80 million women each month.
“This collaboration will help build a cohesive, empowering experience to manage daily health,” the announcement said. “Plus, we’ll partner on initiatives that further women’s health.”
As part of the partnership, Flo Health users will—starting early next year—be able to sync the company’s app with Google Health. With their permission, cycle data from Flo Health can connect with Google Health metrics like resting heart rate and sleep stages to offer a clear picture of the user’s day. Flo Health data will also integrate with user’s Google Health Coach.

“Whether you’re navigating cycle health or managing perimenopause, with Google Health Premium your coach will connect the dots across your cycle, sleep, and recovery to give you tailored, actionable guidance,” Google’s announcement said.
The two companies also plan to work together on research into “underserved topics” that could include perimenopause, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, while also collaborating to build new products designed especially for women.
Also Monday, Google introduced the Fitbit Edge, a smartwatch-style device designed for both “active lifestyles” and day-to-day wear.
