FIntegrate Technology Launches Chargeback Intercept™ to Stop Card Disputes Before a Chargeback Is Ever Filed

FIntegrate Technology, a leading provider of dispute management, collections & recovery and data conversion software for financial institutions, today announced availability of Chargeback Intercept™. The new capability gives banks and credit unions a built-in path to notify merchants of reported disputes and resolve eligible cases before a chargeback is filed, all within the FusionDMS® workflow their teams already use.

Chargeback Intercept gives banks and credit unions a way to have that conversation automatically.”

Chargeback Intercept expands the capabilities of FusionDMS, which integrates directly with Visa and Mastercard Merchant Network to help institutions resolve disputes faster and more accurately. FusionDMS reduces manual processing by up to 80% through automation and boosts dispute team productivity by 50%. Built-in compliance features automatically track Reg E and NACHA deadlines, while real-time dashboards and complete audit trails give managers full visibility into case status, workloads and dispute trends.

When a cardholder reports a transaction dispute, FusionDMS automatically checks whether the claim is eligible for Chargeback Intercept. For eligible transactions, the platform notifies the merchant and requests a refund decision. Merchants credit the cardholder on up to 40% of these disputes, so no chargeback is filed, the case can close the same day, and the institution saves in two ways. Small disputes that banks and credit unions would normally write off are recovered instead of absorbed. Larger disputes don’t go to a third-party investigator, eliminating a fee that typically runs up to $50 per transaction.
