AI-powered treasury and cash management provider Embat has integrated J.P. Morgan Payments’ newly launched Banking Authorisation Service (BAS) API into its platform, allowing shared customers to connect their bank accounts to its treasury software in significantly less time.
The integration enables businesses to verify their identity and link J.P. Morgan accounts to Embat within seconds, without requiring internal IT development. Embat uses its own certificates for each J.P. Morgan Payments connection, removing the need for lengthy external certification processes.
Previously, businesses connecting treasury management systems to banks often had to obtain certificates from third-party certification authorities. The process involved extensive implementation work, data checks and multiple approvals, sometimes delaying operational onboarding by several months.
Factorial and Cazoo are among the first joint customers to use the new integration.
Once connected, live account balances, transaction records and payment information from J.P. Morgan accounts flow directly into Embat’s platform, where they can be viewed alongside enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and other financial tools.
Businesses operating across multiple subsidiaries or legal entities are expected to benefit from the integration. Rather than completing separate connection procedures for each entity, companies can use J.P. Morgan Payments’ multi-tenant certificate management to apply a single security configuration across multiple subsidiaries.
This allows finance teams to connect their wider business operations and manage banking relationships centrally. P. Morgan Payments’ own interface through the API connection. The integration allows customers to grant secure access, manage permissions and monitor onboarding progress through a single dashboard.
