Capsafa launches free financial life organiser in the UK

Capsafa, a self-funded UK FinTech start-up, has rolled out a free financial life organiser designed to help households stay on top of their accounts, paperwork and upcoming renewal dates.

The platform gives users a single place to record details of their bank accounts, investments, pensions, insurance policies and property. Users can upload documents or note the location of physical originals, schedule reminders for renewals and reviews, and download an Executor Pack that summarises all the information they have recorded.

Capsafa was created by Dan Yorke, an entrepreneur and broker who has worked on technology for the financial services industry since 1998. The idea came from his mortgage and business finance brokerage, where he often saw applications delayed because paperwork could not be found.

The launch responds to a wider lack of shared financial knowledge within households. A OnePoll survey commissioned by Capsafa found that a quarter of UK adults doubted their family could locate and make sense of all their financial affairs without them. The research covered savings, bank accounts, investments and debts, showing how often this knowledge sits with a single member of the household.

Capsafa launched in September 2026. The service never asks for financial account passwords or login details. Data is encrypted both in storage and in transit, and two-factor authentication is required every time a user logs in.

The company has funded itself so far and plans to earn revenue through optional premium features and commercial partnerships. Its core offering, including the Executor Pack and Trusted Contacts, will stay free.
