RegTech firm TAINA has retained its ISO 27001 accreditation after recording what it describes as its strongest audit performance to date, highlighting the growing importance of independently verified security controls as AI becomes more deeply embedded in regulated financial processes.
The London-based company provides tax compliance technology to major financial institutions, placing information security at the centre of its operations. TAINA said the latest audit demonstrates the continued development of its controls and the growing maturity of its information security practices across the business.
Rather than treating certification as an annual compliance exercise, TAINA said it approaches information security as an ongoing responsibility that influences how its technology is developed, how information is managed and how services are delivered to clients.
This is particularly significant for technology providers working with financial institutions, where weaknesses in data protection can expose organisations to regulatory, operational and reputational risks. Maintaining independently assessed security standards can therefore provide an important layer of assurance for clients handling sensitive financial and tax information.
The latest audit provides external validation of the systems, processes and controls TAINA has established to manage information security. The company said achieving its best audit performance so far reflects progress made through the continued review and strengthening of those safeguards.
ISO 27001 is an internationally recognised standard for information security management systems (ISMS). It provides a structured framework for identifying information security risks, implementing appropriate controls and continually improving how organisations protect data and information.
For TAINA’s clients, retaining the accreditation means its information security framework continues to be assessed against an established international standard.
