The name Martin Brundle has long been associated with motorsport. For younger or casual F1 fans, he's the older gent running through the paddock interviewing drivers, team principals, celebs, and more. For those in the know, however, Brundle's career also spans a lengthy run behind the wheel.
Brundle has stood on F1 podiums, won the World Sportscar Championship, 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 24 Hours of Daytona, dabbled in Rally, and once held the fastest time up the hill at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The man knows fast cars on a very high level.
His daughter, automotive designer Charlie Brundle, is celebrating that lengthy career with a special edition car. Not any car would do, of course, so Charlie worked with Gunther Werks to create a monstrous reimagining of a Porsche 911 Turbo.
Meet the Gunther Werks Brundle Edition Turbo in all of its 860-horsepower glory.
Gunther Werks and Charlie Brundle have created a unique livery featuring a two-tone pearl paint scheme inspired by one of Martin's old race helmets. On the rear, the Porsche-like script reads "BRUNDLE", while the initials MB are embossed into the headrests of the thin carbon bucket seats.
'Designing a car that celebrates my father's racing career has been an incredibly personal experience. Growing up surrounded by motorsport, I've always admired his passion and dedication.'
'To translate that legacy into a design that reflects both his achievements and our relationship as father and daughter is something truly special.
