Last year, Subaru eliminated the base Impreza and made the Impreza Sport more expensive. The move effectively increased the hatchback’s starting price by over $3,000, but the automaker is reviving the cheaper trim for 2027.
The Impreza will now cost $25,840 (all prices include the $1,245 destination charge, up $50 from last year). That makes the 2027 model $1,950 cheaper to start. The only other trim Subaru is offering is the Impreza RS, which starts at $30,740, $50 more than last year.
The 2027 Impreza lineup no longer includes the Sport trim. This previously sat between the base and RS trims back in 2024 before becoming the entry-level trim for 2025. It has a $27,790 starting price for 2026.
The base Impreza comes wearing 17-inch dark gray wheels. Inside, buyers get a 7.0-inch infotainment screen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It has USB-A and USB-C charging ports, cloth seats, and dual-zone climate control.
The RS gets 18-inch dark gray wheels, black cloth upholstery, fog lights, and a roof spoiler. Inside, the Impreza features a larger 11.6-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Each RS comes standard with an all-weather package that includes heated front seats and mirrors. Subaru offers a technology package for $2,070 that adds a 10-speaker Harman Kardon speaker system, a power moonroof, and a 10-way power-adjustable front seat.
Subaru will offer the 2027 Impreza in Crystal Black Silica, Crystal White Pearl, Ice Silver Metallic, Magnetite Gray Metallic, Sapphire Blue Pearl, and newly available Ignition Red.
