Nio Onvo reaches 200,000 deliveries about 2 years after first handover

Nio Inc's (NYSE: NIO) family-focused brand Onvo has reached 200,000 cumulative deliveries, about 2 years after deliveries of its first model, the L60 SUV, began.

Onvo announced on Thursday that the milestone vehicle, a flagship L90 SUV, was handed over to the family of well-known Chinese television host Geng Chenchen.

The brand's cumulative deliveries stood at 198,760 at the end of September, according to data compiled by CnEVPost. That implies Onvo has delivered 1,240 vehicles so far this month.

It is worth noting that October 1-7 marks this year's National Day holiday in China, which typically results in a slowdown in production and deliveries for the automotive industry.

Onvo began delivering the L60 in September 2024 and has since expanded its lineup to 3 battery-electric SUVs: the L60, L80 and L90.

The milestone comes as Onvo faces pressure from declining monthly deliveries. Following a series of new and refreshed model launches this year, the brand still needs to shore up sales momentum.

Onvo delivered 8,763 vehicles in September, down 42.52% year-on-year and 0.53% from August, according to data compiled by CnEVPost. It was the brand's second consecutive year-on-year decline and fourth straight monthly drop.

In the first 9 months of this year, Onvo delivered 70,191 vehicles, up 0.97% year-on-year. Third-quarter deliveries fell 26.36% to 27,728 vehicles.

In 2025, its first full year of deliveries, Onvo delivered 107,808 vehicles.

Onvo concentrated its product updates this year in the second quarter. The refreshed L90 was launched in April , followed by the new L80 large 5-seat SUV in May and the updated L60 in June .
