Luxury German automaker Mercedes-Benz has confirmed Australian pricing for its new C-Class electric, which will boast a range of up to 753 kilometres and start from $105,700, with deliveries expected early next year.

The C 400 4MATIC electric has been designed from the ground up on an 800-volt electrical architecture that supports DC fast charging at up to 330 kilowatts (kW), allowing 325 kilometres (km) of range to be added in around 10 minutes.

It has a 94 kilowatt-hour (kWh) lithium-ion battery that provides an estimated driving range of up to 753 km (WLTP), a pair of electric motors on the C 400 4MATIC electric deliver up to 360 kW of power and 800 Nm of maximum torque, allowing for acceleration from 0-100km/h in 4 seconds.

A two-speed transmission on the rear axle combines high efficiency with strong performance, with the first gear delivering responsive acceleration and optimised efficiency in urban driving, while the second gear supports sustained power delivery and efficient motorway driving in higher speeds.

The Mercedes-Benz C 400 4MATIC electric comes with a comprehensive suite of MB.DRIVE driving and parking assistance systems as standard, including distance assist, blind spot assist, lane-keeping, speed-limit warnings, traffic sign assist, brake assist, and evasive steering assistance.

The rear luggage compartment boasts 470 litres of capacity, while the “frunk” adds another 101 litres. A “Sky Control” panoramic roof combines an expansive glass surface which has been divided into nine electrically adjustable segments to allow occupants to individually adjust the transparency of different sections of the roof.
