Mahindra has announced the expansion of its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme across its entire Electric Origin SUV portfolio, extending it to the BE 6 SPORTEQ, XEV 9S, and XEV 9e.
The BaaS programme enables customers to finance the vehicle and battery separately through a dual-financing structure, significantly lowering the upfront cost of EV ownership. Under the programme, the BE 6 SPORTEQ starts at ₹11.45 lakh with battery financing at an effective usage cost of ₹3.75/km, the XEV 9S at ₹12.65 lakh, and the XEV 9e at ₹13.90 lakh — both at the same effective battery usage cost of ₹3.75/km. BaaS is now available across all variants of the three models.
First introduced with the launch of the BE 6 SPORTEQ, the programme has received strong customer response, validating demand for ownership solutions that lower barriers to EV adoption. Mahindra is now building on this momentum by extending the programme to its flagship Electric Origin SUVs.
The expansion marks another step in Mahindra’s broader mission to simplify EV adoption by putting customer choice and flexibility at the centre of the ownership experience.
