Jeremy Clarkson Is Growing A Jaguar F-Type On His Farm

Jeremy Clarkson has a new car project, and this one starts in a field. Prime Video has greenlit Jeremy Grows a Car: A Clarkson's Farm Special, a standalone episode that sends the former Top Gear host back to building cars on camera.

The twist is that Clarkson wants to grow some of the materials himself at Diddly Squat Farm. The base car is a Jaguar F-Type V6S. Prime Video lists the special as coming to the service in 2027, with no confirmed premiere date yet.

Clarkson had already hinted that his next build would involve a Jaguar before the special became official. He later added a more personal motive: "I wanted to fit a wider body kit on my F-Type convertible."

The plan goes well past a body kit, though. According to the project details, the build will combine a Diddly Squat leather interior with wool carpets and a flax-composite panel material, flax fiber grown on the farm and processed into a proposed alternative to carbon fiber.

Helping turn farm fiber into usable body panels is Ian Callum, the designer who led the teams behind the original F-Type, the Jaguar XK, the C-X75 concept, and Aston Martin's Vanquish, DB7, and DB9. His involvement gives the stunt some design pedigree beyond a reality-TV gimmick, even if the flax composite stays unproven outside the show.

Prime Video pegs Jeremy Grows a Car as a 2027 release with no exact air date yet. The announcement follows the same preview-image format Clarkson's Farm has used before, including a shot of him fitting new body panels to the F-Type .
