Jeep Reveals Mismatched 2027 Wrangler Switchback As Final Twelve 4 Twelve Build

Jeep saved the loudest two-tone paint job in Wrangler history for last. The 2027 Wrangler Switchback closes out the brand's yearlong Twelve 4 Twelve series, and it does it with a hood and doors that don't match on purpose.

The Switchback is built on the Wrangler Rubicon X. Jeep confirmed orders open in November 2026, with pricing running from $66,695 to $69,995 depending on body style, plus a $2,870 package on top of the base Rubicon X sticker.

Jeep built the Switchback around a simple trick: swap the body color scheme so the hood and doors contrast each other. The combination comes in Gloss Black and Sting-Gray, finished with Gecko-colored accents on the grille surround, hood graphic, beadlock wheel rings and swing-gate decal.

The two-door Switchback carries a total MSRP of $66,695, including the $1,995 destination charge. The four-door version lists at $69,995, same destination fee included. Both figures reflect the $2,870 personalization package added onto the Rubicon X's own sticker price.

Inside, Jeep dressed the cabin to match the exterior's split personality. Black Nappa leather seats get Switchback branding debossed into the material, paired with Sea Salt Nappa-trimmed dash elements and pearl-and-lime accent stitching throughout.

Small details round out the package as special cupholder and swing-gate plaques mark each Switchback as part of the finale build.

Making two Wranglers look like one requires Jeep to choreograph its own assembly line. Gloss Black and Sting-Gray trucks are sequenced together on purpose. A black-hooded, gray-doored Switchback and its gray-hooded, black-doored twin come down the line in tandem.
