Hyundai Ioniq 3 now available to order in the UK

The Hyundai Ioniq 3 is available to order now for customers in the British Isles. The Ioniq 3 now joins the Hyundai Kona Electric in being eligible for the full UK Electric Car Grant.

After the UK’s £3,750 Electric Car Grant is applied, pricing for the Hyundai Ioniq 3 starts at £18,495 OTR for the Advance 42kWh and £21,995 OTR for the Advance 61kWh. The range extends to £28,195 OTR for the Ioniq 3 N Line Evo. For existing Hyundai IONIQ 3 reservation holders who want to convert their reservations to a full order, the offer has only gotten better, as they will receive the £3,750 Electric Car Grant instead of the £1,500 Hyundai Reservation Saving originally offered.

Ashley AndrewPresident, Hyundai Motor UK said that the response to IONIQ 3 has been “extraordinary,” with more customers registering their interest before launch than for any new Hyundai introduced in the UK. “Securing the full £3,750 Electric Car Grant across every version means we can now turn that interest into orders at a price that puts a genuinely spacious, long-range electric car within reach of far more drivers. “

The electric car’s popularity is expected to continue with cars arriving at Hydunai retailers this month. The Ioniq 3 aims to outperform the Kia EV2 in aerodynamics and efficiency without compromising practicality.

Hyundai designed and developed the Ioniq 3 primarily in Germany, at its development centre in Rüsselsheim, although the global E-GMP platform in its 400-volt configuration defines many technical parameters. The company plans to build the model in Europe as well, at its plant in Izmit .
