Geely Auto (HKEX: 0175) has added two special edition versions to its best-selling Xingyuan small EV, further expanding the lineup of this main volume model after it reached the 1 million-unit milestone.
Geely's sub-brand Geely Galaxy launched the Star series in China at its global user conference held on Friday, comprising the Star Ace and Star Chill versions.
Both new versions carry an official guidance price of 91,800 yuan ($13,670), and are available at a limited-time benefit price of 88,800 yuan through November 30 after deducting a 3,000 yuan limited-time trade-in subsidy.
The Xingyuan currently has 6 regular trims on sale, with official guidance prices ranging from 64,800 yuan to 94,800 yuan, and limited-time benefit prices ranging from 61,800 yuan to 91,800 yuan.
In terms of exterior and interior design, the Star Ace leans toward a sporty style, featuring an exclusive sport exterior package, an obsidian black contrasting interior and 3 exclusive body colors; the Star Chill focuses on a relaxed style, adopting a milky salt beige body color and a light beige interior.
Both special edition versions add a 70-liter power frunk supporting 6 electric opening and closing methods including knocking, as well as the Eva in-car robot capable of turning its head 60 degrees and offering more than 50 interactive expressions.
On the intelligence front, the new vehicles are equipped with the Flyme Auto 2.0 smart cockpit system powered by the 7-nanometer StarDragon 1 chip, which was developed by Geely-backed SiEngine.
The special edition versions are fitted with the Geely Afari Smart Driving (G-ASD) H3 assisted driving system, supporting features such as highway and elevated road navigation on autopilot (NOA) and memory parking.
