Ford Recalls 102,159 F-150 and Super Duty Trucks over Faulty Gauges

The trucks have been recalled due to malfunctioning analog gauges that could show incorrect speed readings.

Ford is recalling 102,159 F-150 and Super Duty trucks due to analog gauge clusters that could display incorrect speedometer and tachometer information. The automaker’s Super Duty lineup is most affected, with 91,588 F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, and F-600 vehicles involved in the recall, all from the 2025–2026 model years. F-150s are also affected, but much less so, with just 10,570 units from the 2026 model year included. One 2026 F-750 has also been recalled.

Documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) say that analog tachometers and speedometers in the vehicles could get stuck or move erratically, which would show an inaccurate speed reading. No warning lights will appear in affected vehicles, but those with both digital and analog speedometers may see differences between the two readings.

Ford hasn’t received any accident reports, but the automaker identified 18 warranty and 93 field reports related to the issue by September 16. The affected vehicles aren’t produced in VIN order, so the best way to check a vehicle’s recall status, aside from waiting for an owner notification, is to call Ford’s hotline or contact a Ford or Lincoln dealer.

Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by October 30, but the replacement part won’t be ready until early December. Ford expects to alert owners of the available remedy by December 11. Once the new part is available, a dealer will replace the instrument cluster at no charge to the owner.
