The tyre manufacturer expects CAMSO integration, demand recovery in Africa and Latin America, and a wider overseas network to drive international business growth.
Ceat reported strong international and off-highway growth in Q2 FY27 and expects CAMSO to turn EBITDA-positive in H2.
Tyre manufacturer Ceat aims to increase the share of international business to 33 per cent of its total revenue in the coming years, as it looks to expand its overseas presence and integrate its recently acquired CAMSO business. “International business saliency in Q2 was approximately 20 per cent on standalone basis, and consolidated business basis, it was 24 per cent, which includes CAMSO turnover, which is fully international. We have a plan to take it to 33 per cent at the total Ceat level in five years,” Managing Director and CEO Arnab Banerjee said during the company's Q2 FY27 earnings call. Advt
Ceat’s international business across segments reported strong growth, with revenue rising into the high 20s across categories. This was due to a revival in demand in Africa and Latin America, with two-wheeler and commercial vehicle tyres seeing good traction. Although the management said increased freight rates and longer, unpredictable transit times continue to be a hurdle for the company’s business. Sales to the Middle East have also improved; however, they remain affected. CAMSO integration to support overseas business
The tyre manufacturer, which has recently integrated CAMSO, a manufacturer and service supplier of products for off-the-road vehicles, is anticipated to strengthen its international operations.
Around 85 per cent of CAMSO's customers had transitioned to CEAT by the end of September, with the remaining customers expected to transition by the end of November.
