BMW is throwing in $500 in free public charging with its new 2027 iX3, i5, and i7 EVs

BMW introduced a new public charging package for those who buy or lease the new 2027 iX3, i5, or i7 electric vehicles.

BMW’s electric vehicle lineup will look much different in 2027. The German luxury automaker is shaking things up with the arrival of its Neue Klasse EVs, bringing significantly longer ranges, faster charging times, and advanced new tech and features.

To sweeten the deal, BMW launched a new public charging promotion on Thursday for eligible model-year 2027 electric vehicles, including the new iX3, i5, and i7.

The new BMW ChargingNetwork package provides $500 in total credits. $300 of which includes a BMW ChargingNetwork credit that can be used at one of 15 public charging providers, such as ChargePoint, EVgo, Shell Recharge, and IONNA. The other $200 is for IONNA locations only.

On top of this, the promo includes a free one-year BMW Membership at IONNA. The membership provides a 25% discount on charging during the free year trial.

BMW said the charging credits will automatically apply after you enroll in the BMW ChargingNetwork.

You can enroll through the My BMW app. Under Charging, select Services, then Charging Wallet, and then BMW ChargingNetwork. Once complete, the credits and other benefits will show up in the Digital Charging Wallet and will be automatically applied to eligible charging sessions.

Which one to choose? The 2027 iX3 is BMW’s first Neue Klasse vehicle. Based on its sixth-generation (Gen6) eDrive, the iX3 delivers an EPA-estimated range of up to 434 miles.
