The costume department for Zoë Kravitz‘s upcoming movie “Die Alive” captured exactly what New York City girls are wearing this fall, down to the sneakers. The actress was spotted filming in SoHo on Thursday, and she showed how to style New Balance and Adidas‘ most popular sneakers.
For one of her character’s looks, she opted for the New Balance 990v5 low-top sneakers in the gray and castlerock colorway. The hybrid running and lifestyle shoe sets a sporty mix of mesh and suede atop EVA foam and a stabilizing framework. The New Balance 990v5 gray is the fifth iteration of New Balance’s iconic 990 series that originated in 1982.
The upper is constructed of a gray mesh with matching suede overlays and translucent TPU side panels. Reflective detailing is found on the New Balance logo and piping, which shines when exposed to light. At the base, an ENCAP midsole offers utmost cushioning and support. The New Balance 990v5 was released in February 2019 and retailed for $175. It is currently available on sneaker resale sites like StockX.
She paired the New Balance sneakers with a fall street-style outfit that can be found all over New York this time of year, which women have been wearing to their 9-to-5 office jobs or to run errands. She wore a relaxed, long beige trenchcoat layered over a black V-neck sweater, a white T-shirt and dark, wide-leg trousers.
Kravitz wore another effortless autumnal street style look on set that was built on a rich color contrast of deep berry tones and neutral black basics, creating a cozy, layered look.
