Tyla Pulls Out Two Shoe Hacks to Make Her Barbie Pink Shoes Safe for Dancing on Stage in London

Tyla wasn’t taking any chances with her heels during Thursday’s A*Pop World Tour at London’s O2 Academy Brixton. The singer made sure her high-heeled pumps were securely in place as she danced around the stage during her show with two clever shoe hacks.

While Tyla is never afraid of a sky-high heel and usually prefers a sexy strappy sandal, she took a more practical approach for her performance. The singer and her backup dancers took safety precautions for their footwear while on stage, adding detachable triangle shoe straps to their neon pumps. The straps appeared to be made of clear PVC and featured metal buckles, wrapping across the instep and around the back of the heel.

The clear straps gave the pumps a mary jane-style look. The “Water” singer wore pointed-toe high heels in a glossy hot pink patent leather. The shoes balanced on a slender yet sturdy stiletto heel measuring around three inches. For more protection, anti-slip shoe grip pads were also added to the soles of the heels.

She paired the pink pumps with calf-length white socks featuring long, shaggy fringe down the back that swayed with her movements as she danced during the show.

She paired the dance-ready shoes with a pink and black ensemble. The outfit featured thick, bold black straps that crisscrossed over her chest and shoulders, creating a harness-like effect. The look also included a short, flared black ruffled tulle miniskirt. Underneath, she wore a pale pink, structured strapless bodysuit with a sweetheart neckline.
