Sabrina Ionescu’s Gets Her First Halloween Nike Sneaker With a Blood-dipped Swoosh

The Nike Sabrina 4 "Halloween" also features lace dubrae fangs and a graphic of Ionescu as a vampire.

Despite Nike‘s slate of signature basketball sneakers leaning into Halloween each year and Sabrina Ionescu being on her fourth model, a Nike Sabrina has never before been a part of the festivities. That’s finally set to change, however, with spooky Sabrina 4.

The Nike Sabrina 4 “Halloween” leans into a vampire theme beginning with a lateral Swoosh that appears as if it’s been dipped in blood. Black renders the majority of the sneaker, but red rears its head again through speckling on the midsole, TPU flyplate, full medial Swoosh and lining. A special lace dubrae brings fangs in silver-tone metal, and the most fun detail of all comes in the insole, where a graphic depicts Ionescu herself as a vampire.

Also in the pipeline from Nike Basketball this Halloween will be a relatively minimalist Book 2 that comes with a mask of Devin Booker as a monster and a zombie-themed Ja 4 that goes the opposite route with a highly detailed upper pattern. The wider Nike front will bring an Air Force 1 Low that pays tribute to “Scream” and an Air Jordan 5 loosely connected to the holiday with select glow-in-the-dark accents.

If the WNBA Playoffs play out right, Ionescu and the New York Liberty could wind up playing on Halloween for what would be game 7 of the Finals, providing her the ideal opportunity to wear her vampire sneakers on the court.
