Quick commerce becomes a festive gifting channel, but brands are not equally stocked for it
Wonderchef has doubled its quick-commerce inventory allocation as Farmley sees festive demand rise. Amazon reports a more than threefold increase in home-upgrade shopping volume, while INALSA says its inventory preparedness is at about 80% of last year’s level.
Bengaluru: Quick commerce is expanding its role in festive shopping beyond everyday essentials, with brands positioning kitchen appliances , beauty products, snacks and gifting options for consumers seeking products at short notice. But brands are approaching the season differently, balancing inventory availability and new product discovery against supply constraints and the cost of promotions. Ravi Saxena, founder and CEO of Wonderchef, said quick commerce is evolving from a last-minute replenishment option into a gifting and upgrade destination for premium home and kitchenware. The company expects its festive quick-commerce volumes to grow 2.5-3 times over last year. Advt
Wonderchef has doubled its dedicated quick-commerce inventory allocation and increased the depth of fast-moving stock across regional clusters. It is available across more than 3,000 dark stores through its quick-commerce partners. The company has also calibrated its festive assortment around the ₹999-3,499 price range, which it identifies as the strongest band for impulse conversion on quick commerce. The broader festive shopping data points to a strong appetite for home upgrades, although this has not translated into a comparable surge in quick-commerce app engagement. Amazon India said home-upgrade shopping volume on its marketplace grew more than threefold during the Great Indian Festival 2026.
