Locus, the AI-native logistics technology company, has rolled out a new solution that connects checkout with real-time logistics data. That means greater transparency and accuracy, in addition to a better experience for the consumer.
The company said its Delivery Promise Management solution “checks every leg behind a delivery slot, from the cutoff at the origin warehouse, through the linehaul feeding the delivery station, to the vehicle’s route at the door. As a result, the delivery options shown to customers better reflect what the network can actually support.”
The solution is also easy to onboard. Locus said it is now available to support planning ahead of peak season. Regarding the value proposition, the company said the solution helps retailers “show delivery promises at checkout that reflect real operational capacity and drive order conversion.” It also supports delivery slot selection and appointment scheduling, as well as tiered pricing based on service levels. It also offers eco-friendly delivery options, as well as capacity-based delivery choices.
“Delivery Promise Management is designed for enterprise retailers managing high-volume e-commerce , big and bulky delivery, white-glove service, returns, pickups and hybrid carrier networks,” the company said in a statement, adding that in a test run using one retailer’s historical order data, “Delivery Promise Management provided feasible delivery windows for 98.5 percent of orders and reduced orders without an available slot by 58 percent.”
