The actress was honored with the Icon Award at Saturday night's event.
Charlize Theron brought luxury style to the 2026 Academy Museum Gala in a sheer black Tom Ford dress on Saturday night at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.
The Oscar-winning actress‘ dress merged intricate detailing with sheer fabric and sultry style. The Tom Ford design featured a bodice with shimmering sequins and gems near the neckline. A completely sheer panel ran down the front placket of the dress’ bodice.
At the waist, the skirt of the dress transitioned to a totally sheer fabric with some ornate design and sparkle creating artful symmetry for the overall look.
For jewelry, Theron turned to Boucheron, wearing a statement arrow earrings to accentuate her modern and geometric look.
Glam for the actress was provided by Kate Lee, who gave Theron’s makeup style a bold brow, lined eyes and a soft rosy lip. Hair stying by Adir Abergel provided Theron with a punk look that elevated her ensemble. Theron’s look for the black tie event was curated by stylist Leslie Fremar.
Prior to her special Saturday night at the Academy Museum Gala, Theron was hot on the promotional tour for “The Odyssey.” The summer blockbuster and critical hit saw the actress take on a global press run with her cast mates, sporting designs by Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann, among others.
The sixth annual Academy Museum Gala was held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on Saturday night.
