On Tuesday, the German footwear company is dropping another shoe with Staud — this time a second release of the Loma clog in new “Black” and “Cork Brown” shearling iterations.
Inspired by Birkenstock’s signature Boston clog, the updated Loma arrives in a suede upper with the brand’s contoured cork footbed. A single suede top strap adorns the top of the upper, while a soft shearling lining adds warmth to the interior for the cold weather months.
This latest release follows the duo’s August release, which featured the Loma Suede in three colorways: “Pepper,” “Charcoal” and “Khaki.” In March, the two companies released updated versions of the Arizona Big Buckle and Madrid Big Buckle sandals, both reimagined with raffia and finished in the new “Carafe” hue.
Staud and Birkenstock came together again in May 2025 with a collaborative Arizona Woven Embossed Sandal. The style was crafted in woven embossed leather upper with a subtle sheen and was available in two colorways — “Ecru” and “Black.”
This new collection comes at a time when Birkenstock’s designer collaborations are gaining a lot of attention.
In September, the company revealed it was teaming up with filmmaker, creative director and record executive Cole Bennett on an updated take on the Birkenstock Boston clog. Earlier that same month, the company released its hotly anticipated collaboration with Etro , which featured takes on the Boston clog and the Gizeh sandal. In August, the company released its second collection with South Korean label Ader Error on a range of updated Boston clogs.
