New Crossy Road game announced as an Apple Arcade exclusive

Starting November 5, Apple Arcade subscribers will get access to Crossy Road Rush, a new arcade island adventure with solo and four-player multiplayer racing modes. Watch the trailer for the new game below.

Apple Arcade and Hipster Whale made a joint announcement today, confirming that the new Crossy Road Rush title will be launched exclusively on Apple’s gaming subscription platform starting November 5.

The game follows the classic Crossy Road and Crossy Road Castle aesthetic, with its colorful voxel-style characters and environments, but adds a more adventure-focused structure with combat, exploration, and multiplayer.

Here’s how Crossy Road’s YouTube channel describes the new Apple Arcade-exclusive title:

Swerve, spin, smash and survive an arcade island adventure with the Crossy Road Crew. Chase away an angry Octoboss from peaceful Crossy Cove, free your friends, and restore the island vibes! Ride solo, or connect locally and online with up to 4 players!

The game is scheduled to launch at 4:00 p.m. PST on November 5, but Apple Arcade subscribers can pre-order it now here.

Today’s announcement comes just days after Apple Arcade added five new titles earlier this month: Pusheen’s Place, River City Survivors, Terraria+, Touchgrind BMX 2+, and 4 Pics 1 Word+.

Apple Arcade is available as a standalone service for $6.99/month or included in the Apple One bundle. It includes access to over 200 games with no ads or in-app purchases.
