Here’s how much iPhone Duo costs to repair out-of-warranty

iPhone Duo pre-orders kick off this Friday ahead of shipping next week. If you’re wondering whether to get AppleCare+ or not, here are the iPhone Duo’s out-of-warranty repair costs.

iPhone Duo is by far Apple’s most expensive iPhone ever. It starts at $1,999, and the most expensive 2TB model will set you back $3,199.

Still, AppleCare+ adds another $19.99/month to the purchase price, which some users might not want to shell out for. But what kind of repair costs does Apple charge without AppleCare?

Here are the out-of-warranty repair costs for iPhone Duo from Apple’s website :

These are only “estimated” because while Apple uses these fees for product repairs, it says that “Apple Authorized Service Providers can set their own service fees and will provide their own estimate.”

Adding AppleCare+ reduces these costs dramatically. A few examples: theft or loss is only $149 with AppleCare+, battery service is free, front display damage is just $29 and inner display damage $99.

Do you plan to get AppleCare+ for your iPhone Duo? Why or why not? Let us know in the comments.
