Today alongside iOS 27.2 , Apple has also released iOS 26.7.2, a security-focused update for iPhones still running iOS 26.

iOS 26.7.2 brings latest security fixes to iPhones not yet running iOS 27

Apple has released a variety of new software updates today, most of which are part of its 27.2 lineup.

iOS 27.2 is the flagship iPhone update with new features in Messages , TV and Podcasts , Apple Music design refreshes , and more.

But if you’re not yet running iOS 27, Apple has released iOS 26.7.2 as well.

This minor release doesn’t add new features to the iPhone, since Apple has now moved its focus to iOS 27 for all feature updates.

But users still running iOS 26 are encouraged to update immediately for the latest security fixes.

Apple’s webpage linked above has not yet been updated with the specific security improvements, but we’ll keep you posted when those go live.

Are you still running iOS 26? What’s keeping you from upgrading to iOS 27? Let us know in the comments.
