In a post-pandemic world, I'm especially grateful to see that trading card games like Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering have returned to their former glory and even grown to heights once thought impossible. A big part of this growth is the digital versions of established physical card games. These digital clients help the game reach more players than the paper versions alone ever could.

These clients aren't a substitute for the physical games, though; instead, they help encourage players to seek out local game groups to continue playing. Right now, there aren't too many official digital versions of popular trading card games, but I'm going to rank the ones that are available to download and play today, with a nod to those coming soon.

Disney Lorcana finally has a digital version in the works, having been confirmed at D23 in 2026. Rumors of a Riftbound game are always popping up, and Riot has claimed it's a possibility for the future, but nothing is known to be in active development.

Digimon also has video game adaptations, but the closest thing to a digital version of the TCG is the upcoming Digimon Alysion app, due to release sometime in 2026.

One Piece has a digital tutorial playable in a browser, but no digital platform to play the game in full. Naruto has a collection app, but again, no official way to play the game digitally.
