WB's Iconic 263-Episode Series Is Officially Free on Streaming, and Every Episode Is a Masterpiece

Perhaps you’ve just left the theater after seeing Coyote vs. ACME, and now you need more Looney Tunes content to get another fix. Or maybe you’ve got tickets for tomorrow, and you’re looking to bone up on the Looney Tunes before arriving at the theater. Regardless of the reason, if you’re hankering for some great Looney Tunes shorts as a companion piece for Coyote vs. ACME, allow me to help you out.

Below you’ll find seven essential Looney Tunes shorts. A few of themcover Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner, while the others highlight other key characters in Coyote vs. ACME. Currently, all of these can be found for free on Tubi, but they’re kind of difficult to find on there as the streamer has them in a strange, vaguely backwards order with three random shorts grouped together as “episodes.” To get around this, just type the episode name into Google and add “Tubi” after it, or read where to find these shorts in each of the entries below.

1949’s Fast and Furry-ous is the perfect place to start because it's the very first short with both Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner. Directed by Chuck Jones, this cartoon makes it clear that Jones knew exactly who these characters were right off the bat. All the essential elements are here, including the repeated injuries inflicted upon the coyote, Road Runner’s “Beep beep” catchphrase, and even a faulty ACME invention (an “ACME Super Outfit”). ’s eyes are drawn a little differently in this one, as there’s a distinct red ring around them that he doesn’t have later, but beyond that, this is a quintessential Coyote and Road Runner cartoon.
